About the album
Whose House? is the debut album from Fourth and Strong: ten songs about the people who show up. Built on heavy-metal roots, 1980s arena-rock guitars and a heavy dose of Texas football, it runs from a small-town Friday night to a drive across the whole state.
Brian C. Thompson writes novels for a living, and he enjoys writing song lyrics almost as much as writing his books.
It opens with the walk-out and ends in the parking lot at the final goodnight. In between: a road trip home, the summer of '87, a landman's life, two lovers who each get their turn as the star, the clock running out in the fourth quarter, a stomp-and-clap anthem with cowbell, a hard-rocking drive from Texarkana to the Palace, and a closer that thanks the fans for being the team.

Every lyric here was written by hand. The voice you hear was trained on his own. The music was generated with AI, but the sound was not left to chance: each song went through take after take, with the arrangement, tempo, phrasing and mix reworked until the band sounded like the band.
The songs are fictional. The band is made up. The football is real.
